A 3m x 4m dance floor (about 9.8 ft x 13.1 ft or roughly 129 square feet) can comfortably fit:
- 10 to 15 people dancing at once
- Up to 20 if guests are packed in more tightly or dancing casually
A 6m x 6m dance floor (about 19.7 ft x 19.7 ft, or roughly 388 square feet) can accommodate:
- 35 to 50 people dancing comfortably
- Up to 60+ people for high-energy events like raves where tighter spacing is acceptable
Using the general guideline:
- 8–10 sq ft per person = ~39–48 dancers (comfortable)
- 6 sq ft per person = ~64 dancers (packed/club-style)
Here’s a quick general guide for dancing space:
- You typically want 8–10 sq ft per person for comfortable dancing.
